What to Expect

What is the service format?

At Hillcrest Baptist Church, the worship experience during Sunday morning and Wednesday night services present a time for everyone to engage in corporate prayer and to gain understanding of the books and passages of the bible.  The ministry is fully supported by the Sanctuary Choir with blended music accompanied byan assortment of instruments, before and during worship services.   Special time in the Order of Service is given to ’group prayer’ at the alter.   Baptism, when scheduled, precedes Second Sunday,  Morning Service.

Are you going to make me stand up and introduce myself?

Visitors are always welcome.  During Sunday Morning Service,  ‘first time’ visitors, who volunteer indentification as such, will be offered a packet of information that will be used for acknowledgment and future contact, if requested.  Gracious acknowledgment is given at other services in an informal manner as well.

What should I wear? 

As each person is directed to enter the doors of Hillcrest Baptist Church for praise and worship of our Lord and Saviour, they are received. 

Can I bring my children?

Hillcrest Baptist Church offers a variety of programs for children on Sunday morning during Sunday School, SundayMorning Worship Service, Friday Evenings and Saturday afternoon.  The programs are age specific.  For your review, information about the various are referenced under Ministries.

How do I give?

Financially, the members of Hillcrest Baptist Church welcome your support as we ’tithe’ annually to fulfill the Great Commission through  local, national and world-wide programs.  As a volunteer, come join us as we provide needed services inwardly to the church and outwardly to the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area communities.
